Selfie Saturday: A Little Spark, A Little Shift
Somehow, it’s already Saturday again.
One week ago, this blog was launched with shaky hands and a hopeful heart—and now, just days later, a shift is starting to be felt. A small one, but real. Words are being written, little sparks are being shared, and somewhere between the late-night edits and the half-laugh-half-cringe video takes… a new rhythm has begun.
Blogging, it turns out, is more than just a creative outlet.
It’s also helping pay a few bills.
(What?! Yes. That surprised me too.)
And in the process of sharing small pieces of life, something unexpected has been happening: the healing.
The growth.
The “oh wow, I didn’t know I needed to say that until I said it” kind of moments.
But what does all of that have to do with selfies?
Well, everything… and nothing.
Selfie Saturday isn’t really about the perfect picture. It’s not about flawless lighting, or hair that cooperated, or poses that scream “influencer energy.” It’s more about presence.
Showing up as you are.
Tired eyes, messy hair, cat hair on the hoodie—yes, especially that.
A moment is being marked when a photo is taken.
A “this is me, right now” kind of moment.
No pressure to smile. No demand to glow. Just… being captured in all the now-ness of now.
One week in, and here’s what’s been learned:
Sharing your story is awkward and amazing.
People don’t need perfect—they want real.
Blog writing might just be the most introvert-friendly hustle ever created.
When words can’t be said aloud, they still deserve to be written.
And money, oddly enough, can be made from just being honest and helpful. Who knew?
So here we are.
One week in.
One post at a time.
One tiny spark turning into something bright and warm and alive.
If you’re reading this, you’re part of it. And that’s no small thing.

My kitties, friends, and chosen family have carried me through so much.
Here’s to another week of growth, one soft step at a time. 💜
