Stretching Into the Week (and Myself)
By Soni’s Spark Shack
Let’s be honest—staying mindful isn’t always serene tea-sipping and soft flute music. Sometimes it’s messy ponytails, uncomfortable growth, and filming your first vlog while whisper-yelling at your partner not to trip over the yoga pillow.
But I’m here for it. All of it.
Because this is how we show up for ourselves—imperfectly, courageously, honestly.
This Week I’m Focusing On:
1. Learning the ropes of video creation for It Works! and getting to know the products inside and out.
If you know me, you know I’m a skeptic. I don’t sell fluff, hype, or anything that’s not good for the body. Life is short—no need to make it more complicated with mystery ingredients or empty promises. That’s why I’m doing a little n=1 research project (translation: testing it on myself!) so I can speak from real experience, not just marketing lingo. I want to feel good about what I’m sharing—and even better about what I’m putting into my body.
2. Watch one video a day on passive income. I’m planting seeds for the future, one spark at a time.
3. Drink my gut-health mix, collagen smoothie, and that mind-blowing timeless elixir daily. And move my body—yes, yoga included.
4. Convince myself I can wear contacts. Eye doctor on Tuesday. Cross your fingers (but not your eyelashes).
5. Read. Learn. Breathe. Focus. My mind thrives with motion. Stillness is powerful—but scrolling? Not the path to success.

My First-Ever Yoga Vlog (Don’t Judge! Okay… Judge a little)
Spoiler alert: This vlog was far from serene—but that’s what made it perfect.
Cassi was off in her own little world (vibe on point), forgot her water, and then heroically volunteered to grab my sunglasses from the car.
Except… she didn’t have the car key.
And then couldn’t find the car.
In a parking lot of maybe 30 vehicles.
She eventually reappeared—triumphant—with my Ray-Bans, and I swear the sun beamed a little brighter.
Meanwhile, I’m the one who tripped over the stake holding our blanket down mid-pose.
So yeah, there were bloopers. But that’s the beauty of it.
Yoga isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, even when you’re tangled in grass and your toe slightly throbbing from stake kicking.
Here’s the gentle beginner flow I filmed:
1. Child’s Pose with Support
Kneel and fold forward over a cushion or pillow. Let your arms rest forward or under your head. Feel the earth. Breathe slow.
Affirmation: I release what I no longer need.
(We stretched arms forward to ease the shoulders. So soothing.)
2. Seated Grounding Pose
Sit on a cushion or the floor. One hand on your heart, one on your belly. Inhale for 4 counts, exhale for 6.
Affirmation: I am safe in this moment.
3. Supported Savasana
Lie back, place a blanket under knees or neck. Close your eyes if you feel comfortable. Let go.
Affirmation: This is my time to feel peace, even if just for a moment.
Yoga isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up, even when you’re tangled in grass and your toe slightly throbbing from stake kicking.

Journal Prompt for Clarity:
What am I holding on to that I no longer need?
What would happen if I let it go—even just a little?
Write it down. Whisper it out loud. Draw it. Sing it. Or just breathe with it.

This is my spark for the week. Not to be perfect—but to stay lit, steady, and full of curiosity.
What’s your focus this week?
Comment or DM me if you’re on your own mindful journey. Let’s grow together—one breath, one video blooper, one spark at a time.
